The Node Editor is the engine behind MapLab, and allows for the greatest level of customization. The goal of the Node Editor is to connect nodes to each other to perform operations to model voter behavior.  Nodes that require inputs can, generally, either take fixed, manually entered values that are applied at the feature level seen in the Map View (e.g., counties for statewide races, precincts for local races) or variables based on demographic or electoral properties (e.g., 2024 presidential votes or percentage of the population with a bachelor’s degree).
